Resolution for WPHOA Communications and Events Committee

The Board of Directors of the Walden Pond Home Owners Association (WPHOA) hereby establishes the Communications and Events Committee, to be composed of members of the association, for the following purposes:

•  To publish and distribute a monthly newsletter about the business of the Walden Pond Home Owners Association, including information on association meetings, community events and issues, and other information of use the WPHOA members. The Board of Directors shall appoint a Newsletter Editor to supervise the newsletter, and the board shall retain final authority and responsibility for the content of the newsletter. The Newsletter Editor shall serve as co-chairperson of the Communications Committee;

•  To establish and maintain an official Internet website for the Walden Pond Home Owners Association, to display information about the association and the community. The Board of Directors shall appoint a Website Supervisor to oversee this website, and the board shall retain final authority and responsibility for the content of the website. The Website Supervisor may delegate technical tasks regarding maintenance and support of the website to a non-member, while maintaining responsibility for its content, subject to board approval. The Website Supervisor shall serve as co-chairperson of the Communications Committee;

•  To advise the Board of Directors on other communications and informational needs and actions that may serve the interests of the association;

•  To organize special community events and other activities to serve the interests of the association.

It is the intention of the Board of Directors that the Communications Committee and its members shall act under the supervision of the Board. In addition to a Newsletter Editor and Website Supervisor, the board may appoint other HOA members with appropriate authority to lead specific projects as part of this committee's activities. The appointed co-chairpersons and other appointed leaders may recruit other WPHOA members to the committee. Committee menlbership shall be open to any HOA member or to his or her properly designated agent. At least one elected Director shall serve on the committee as the Board's representative and shall be the Board's liaison with the newsletter and website.
