Approval of minutes February ’07 meeting
Agenda:
___ will store data for website through March 2008 and in early 2008 another company will be pursued.
Moved and approved that Sarah Wright will serve as Secretary and Paul Caruth as co-chair of Aesthetics and Maintenance Committee. Steve Williams is the other co-chair of Aesthetics and Maintenance Committee.
Homeowners concerns:
___ called Frankie to say that she had previously received permission to store trashcans in bushes instead of rear of unit. Grove Park residents who rent out their basements have to go out their front door to take out their trash. For help, owners can contact the City of Durham for assistance. Residents cannot store trash cans in the bushes.
Question raised about when hydrojetting was done and whether maintenance needs to be continued.
___ real estate agents have been contacted about appearance of the rear of units. Trash and screens are scattered and a problem. Fines may be imposed if the problems continue.
Dog on ____ is running loose. Frankie has been contacted. The dog’s owner is renting her unit and is not allowed to have pets. The realty company has communicated to the owner to get rid of the pet.
Frankie is concerned that some units do not have two exits and also some units may not have property insurance (fire). Everyone needs to send in their homeowner’s insurance policy statement. A special letter and mailing will go out to address this issue.
___ engineering report on structural issues with Durbin and Georgetown to determine stability of ground (before paving and before retaining walls are redone) was reviewed and approved.
Entrance to Finley Street is unattractive. Work will be delayed until Grove Park work is completed (fall).
Frankie will check to see if the City of Durham will install a stop sign at the end of Finley.
