Meeting Minutes - July 22, 2008
In attendance: Sheryl Morgan, Chantal Winston, Mike Long, Steve Williams, Laura Atkinson, [PC], [CR], [AP], [EP], [RL], [CP]
Called to order at 7:01 p.m.
Homeowners Concerns

- [omitted online] homeowners expressed concerns about recent tree removal and about drainage behind their building.
- [omitted online] wanted to know if homeowner or HOA was responsible for gutter cleaning. HOA is not responsible but periodically does it anyway.

- [omitted online] asked whether homeowners could replace their windows, to which the answer is yes.
- [omitted online] stated that she will look into organizing a Neighborhood Watch program.
- [omitted online] expressed concerrn about cable lines being above ground. She was told to report it to Time Warner as they are solely responsible for cable lines.
Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting
Unanimously approved with a minor correction.
May minutes still not approved - will be resent by e-mail by Laura.
Management Report
- Trees and junipers removed.
- [omitted online] cleanup - not done yet but Sheryl didn't see anything to clean up. She will look again and confer with landscaper.
Old Business
- Mailbox painting - Sheryl will get some more information and pictures for the Board.
- Shrub removal - Board will proceed with Trosa's bid with Laura's suggestions added in. Sheryl will send letters soon to affected homeowners to let them know the plans and give them an opportunity to ask questions or opt-out.
- Entrance lights - Mike will change bulbs for now.

- Garbage cans - Sheryl will contact Mike Simpson again.
- Prestwick survey - still underway.
- Steve made a motion, passed unanimously, to paint the Quintin and Finley parking lots.
- Sidewalk repair bids still being sought.
New Business
- The Board officially voted to appoint Mike as President (motion made by Steve and passed unanimously) and Chantal as Vice-President (motion made by Mike and passed unanimously).
- The Board needs to get together and have a look at the Durbin footbridge and the path behind that building.
- Laura asked the Board to remove the Prestwick fence since much of it has already fallen or been knocked down. The Board wants to hear from more Prestwick owners. Laura will communicate with other Prestwick owners and ask them to give their input to the Board.
- Homeowners should call the non-emergency police number to report wrong-way parking.
- [omitted online] has installed a white roof in violation of aesthetics policy.
- Board will try to schedule aesthetics hearings for 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on day of next meeting (August 26).
