Meeting Minutes - March 24, 2009

In attendance: Sheryl Morgan, Steve Williams, Laura Atkinson, E.H., P.D., S.W.

Called to order at 7:20 p.m.

Homeowners Concerns

E. is interested in serving on the Board. Laura will follow up with her via e-mail.
The parking and drainage problems in the upper Georgetown lot were discussed.
Hearings will be held April 28th for the 3-4 worst aesthetics violations on Quintin.

Management Report

A bid for repairing 60 feet of retaining wall on Finley is on hold until Laura can have a look at the problem.
[omitted online] requested reimbursement of $175 for plumbing bill related to a sewage backup. Board approved this request unanimously as the backup occurred in a part of the sewer line for which the HOA is responsible.
Damaged fence along Finley - unanimous vote to remove it rather than repair it.

Old Business

The fire damaged retaining wall on Durbin may or may not get paid for by tenant's insurance. Board voted unanimously to go ahead and repair this and try to get reimbursed later as it is an eyesore.

New Business

Laura will draft a proposed new version of the aesthetics policy to help the HOA enforce trash can marking which will allow the city to enforce trash can placement.
To try to get a quorum for the next attempt at the annual meeting, we will hold drawings for those who attend and for those who submit a proxy (a separate drawing for each group). The winner of those in attendance will get two free months of HOA dues. The winner of the proxy group will receive one free month of HOA dues. Also, Sheryl will bring juice and muffins and Laura will bring coffee and donuts.

Financial Overview

Delinquencies and pending foreclosures were discussed in executive session.
